About Niara Perry

Niara Perry (they/them) is a Philadelphia native living in Baltimore who has a deep passion for human connection. Since childhood, this passion has served as their North Star through the twisting journey to adulthood. This North Star has led them to found High Purpose Consulting. The firm supports small- to medium-sized organizations by designing and assisting in the implementation of solutions that ensure that all employees receive the support and recognition they need to thrive long-term within an organization. This work is backed by Niara’s M.P.S. in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland and their seven years of experience leading People Operations and Employee Experience efforts.

Niara’s passion for human connection has resulted in creative endeavors, as well. One being the podcast, Persisting in Color, which they created with their co-host, Deb. On the podcast, the two navigate work-life hurdles while honoring their authenticity through discussions together and with their guests of varying identities and industries.

The other is the publishing of their debut collection of poetry, Mourning a Stranger. The book guides its reader through Niara’s journey of processing the racial violence of 2020.

Each of these accomplishments has allowed Niara to offer audiences and stakeholders, whether corporate or creative, tools to better support those around them, regardless of the walk of life from which they come.
